1. What kind of job is it?
Promotional specialist help promote products by one on one marketing. At the events, you educate consumers by telling them key selling points and allowing them to sample the product.
2. How long are the events?
Most events last 3 hours. There are events that sometimes last longer, but you would be made aware prior to accepting the booking/event.
3. How long is orientation?
Orientation usually last about one hour. Because we pride ourselves on hiring quality promotional specialists, we also require that you pass our orientation quiz assuring us that you have the necessary skills to perform an event.
4. How many times will I be working?
You only work events that fit your schedule. You may do one event a month to as many as 2-3 a week.
5. Once I sign up, am I committed to perform a certain number of events?
You only work the events that you accept. you are not obligated to work a certain number of events.
6. The application mentions a credit card. Is this a credit card offer?
NO! This credit card is only used during the events to purchase product. This is our company's credit card system. The cards are only activated during your scheduled event time. The form is purely an acknowledgement that you will be issued a credit card for Market One events and that you will not try to use it for other purposes.
7. What is the hourly pay for demos?
The hourly rate starts out at $15.00 for off premise events and $20.00 for on-premise events.
8. How many demos per week/weekend can I expect to get with M1?
This depends on their market and season. In general, you can execute one to three events in one week. During the holiday season (November & December), one could execute up to 9 events in one week.
